THE REPORT OF THE PRESENTATION OF HOSPITAL EQUIPMENT BY THE CLEMENT ISONG FOUNDATION (TCIF) TO QIC LEPROSY HOSPITAL, ETINAN
Due to the outbreak of Covid-19 globally, the Board of Trustees of The Clement Isong Foundation responded by directing that a NEEDS assessment be carried out in some health institutions across Akwa Ibom and Cross River States to ascertain areas that the foundation can lend a helping hand.
The presentation took place on Tuesday June 30, 2020 between 12:20pm and 2: 10pm in Akwa Ibom State.
The team was received by the Hospital management and after introductions, the ceremony kicked off. Many of the patients were also in attendance and the Hospital management expressed their delight and gratitude to have the Vice Chairman and TCIF team in their midst. The Vice Chairman of the Board commended the Hospital management team for doing a good job in maintaining the premises of the Hospital and taking care of the patients even this this trying time of the Covid19 pandemic.
Presenting the equipment to the management of QIC Leprosy Hospital, Mr. Ubong Isong said the donation was made after carrying out NEEDS assessment and discovered that the hospital had a need for equipment.
He urged them to accept the items and make good use of them to make the stay of the patients in the hospital a little more comfortable.
Dr. Jeremiah Okoro, expressed gratitude to God for touching the heart of the Foundation to consider visiting them to donate the equipment and lauded the NGO for their kind gesture.
He however madefurther requests to the Foundation and solicited TCIF support to enable them meet some of their needs.
The patients were full of praises to the NGO for considering them in their scheme of things, and a high point of the event was appreciation song rendered by the Leprosy inmates.
